What is a maturity assessment process?

When grid operators receive more connection requests than available capacity, they need a prioritization system. The maturity assessment process is that system. The grid operator evaluates each project according to a defined set of criteria and allocates grid connections based on this assessment.

The evaluation considers approval readiness, secured land, the status of the grid connection, and the plausibility of the implementation schedule. Projects that do not fully and consistently demonstrate these criteria lose points in the scoring process.
